No purchase or payment is necessary to enter this competition. This is an open competition. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to abide by the competition rules and guidelines, and to accept the judges’ decisions, which will be final.

This competition is sponsored by the India Science Festival with the purpose of generating and disseminating memes around science.

Each participant can submit upto 2 memes for the competition.

We have the right to reject submissions for violations of, but not limited to, inappropriate content, defamation, or copyright issues.

India Science Festival reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant or Entry at its sole discretion. No correspondence shall be entered into.

India Science Fest reserves the right not to select finalists if, at its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.

Entering the Contest grants India science Fest permission to make public and otherwise use an entrant’s name and meme for publicity purposes.

Participation constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. By participating in the Contest, the entrant is representing and warranting that he/she has read and understood, and agrees to be bound by, these rules. Including the guides and rules referred to herein, these Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between the entrant and the India Science Festival organizers in relation to the Contest. They govern the entrant’s participation and supersede any prior or other agreements between the entrant and India Science Festival organizers relating to the Contest.

Rules/Guidelines

Participation in the quiz is free and open to all persons.

The link and timings for the quiz will be shared on e-mail after successful registration.

There will be 3 preliminary rounds each of 60 minutes duration.

Participants are allowed to attend any one of the preliminary rounds.

Top 5 best performers from each preliminary round will qualify for the final event at ISMO 2021.

The winners will be designated through an automatic draw in case of a tie. The draw will be supervised by a bailiff.

The winners will be contacted by email.

Terms of participation

India Science Festival reserves the right to conduct necessary checks in order to verify the identity, postal address and/or email address of the participants.

India Science Festival reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant or Entry at its sole discretion. No correspondence shall be entered into.

The persons who have given incomplete or inaccurate personal and contact details will be disqualified for the draw, as will be the persons who refuse that their personal details – which are necessary for the game – be collected, kept and used.

Participation in the quiz implies that participants accept the integrality of these rules. Non-compliance with the rules results in the automatic cancellation of the participation in the quiz and of the candidacy for the prize.

Entering the Contest grants India science Festival permission to make public and otherwise use an entrant’s name for publicity purposes.

Rules and Guideline

Entries must follow the competition theme. The theme will be provided on the day of the event via a zoom webinar. All registered participants will recieve the zoom webinar link via email.
Only one entry per person. No group participation is allowed.
The competition is open for all age groups. We will have separate prizes for age group below 13.
White hand made paper or chart paper of minimum A4 size can be used.
Participants can use crayons, sketchpens, water-color or any such coloring equipment.
Photograps or digital art are not acceptable.
The drawing should not contain any material that is offensive or disgraceful towards any person, profession or community.
Once submitted, pencil art cannot be withdrawn or replaced by another.
The decision of the judges will be final and cannot be challenged.

How to submit?

Finished art photo in JPG or PNG format should be mailed to games@indiasciencefestival.org within 1hr 30 minutes of competition start time
The submission must be accompanied with three 1 minute clip of you while you were drawing/painting.
Do not send the images of your drawing which are framed or contain watermarks
The submitted art which does not follow these rules will be subjected to disqualification

Rules/Guidelines

Participation in the model-making is free and open to all persons.
Only one entry per person. No group participation is allowed.
Participants need to use the following materials to build their model: Newspapers,Crayons,Glue,Pencils,Plastic Bottles,Paint,Paint Brush,Straws,MatchSticks,Regular HouseHold Items
Build a model on the following theme:
- Renewable Energy
- Environment
- Rain water harvesting/Smart city
- Space science
- Science Experiments
- Robotics
Best performers from the first round will qualify for the final event at ISMO 2021.
Once submitted, participants cannot withdraw or replace their models.
The model built should not contain any material that is offensive or disgraceful towards any person, profession or community.
The winners of the first round would be contacted by email and would need to present their model at ISMO 2021 on 29th January at 5:30pm via a zoom webinar link shared on the email.

How to Submit?

Registered Participants will need to drop an email to games@indiasciencefestival.org with a picture of their model in PNG or JPEG format and with the Subject "ISMO Model Making 2021 Submission" by 26th January 2021.
The submitted model which does not follow above rules will be subjected to disqualification.

Where will we play?

The pictionary game will be played online on https://www.drawasaurus.org/. It is a free online multiplayer drawing and guessing game.
It is accessible both on desktop as well as mobile devices. You may practice with friends to familiarize yourself with the game and the drawing interface.

How to play?

You will be joining a zoom webinar on the day of the event where you will receive a custom link on the webinar chat to join the game.
You need to enter your phone number as the username while entering into the game. The phone number should be the same as the one that you have used to register for this game. Example: 9876543210. Do not add the country code.

Game Format

In each round, one player has to draw the chosen word and others have to guess it to gain points.
When it’s your turn to draw, you will have to choose a word from three options and draw that word in 80 seconds.
Alternatively when another player is drawing you have to type your guess into the chat to gain points.
Players participating multiple times using multiple links, will be disqualified
If any player uses any alphabets in the drawing, they will be disqualified.

Points System

The player who draws will get points based on how many people are able to guess correctly.
The players who guess will get points based on how fast they guess the word correctly.
The point system is automated within the software and does not involve any manual intervention.

How can you win?

The player with the most points at the end of the game will advance to the next level of the competition.
If there is a tie between multiple players, all those who are on the top will proceed to the next round.
There will be two or three levels based on overall participation. Subsequent levels will contain more difficult words.

Format

You will be given a topic related to science and you are required to speak on the topic for one minute.
A panel of judges will evaluate your performance based on the content.
It is important that you make different points on the topic and support your views with suitable examples and anecdotes.

Rounds

There will be two rounds - a preliminary online round and a final live round. The details are explained below.

Prelims - You will receive an email on your registered email address. This email will contain a unique login linked to your email address. This is the link to the online JAM. You will be given a topic. You will get 45 seconds to think on the topic and 1 minute to speak on the same. You will get only one attempt to participate in this JAM, you will NOT have the option to login again if you exit in between.

Finals - Those who are shortlisted in the prelims will be notified via email and the list will also be published here by Jan 20, 2021. On the day of the finals, you will be speaking live in front of the virtual audience. The webinar link will be shared with you. When your name is called out, you will need to turn your video ON and speak extempore on a topic for one minute. You will NOT have any thinking time in the final round.

Format

In this hunt, you will face a series of challenges
In each challenge, you will get a puzzle along with some clues in the form of text, images, etc
You have to use your intelligence, creativity, and detective skills to solve these clues
If you successfully crack the puzzle and submit the correct answer, you will unlock the next level
There is no limit on the number of attempts you can make
You cannot skip any level. In order to reach the next level, you must solve the previous level
Once you successfully solve all the levels, you will complete the hunt

Rules and Guidelines

Google is your best resource. Use it as much as you can
Don't forget to check out the source code. Specially look out for the term 'hint' in the code
While answering, capitalization and multiple spaces do not matter. 'Blue Ribbon' is the same as: 'bLue RIbboN' or 'blueribbon'. No special characters are allowed
Sharing answers online or offline is completely prohibited. You are being monitored. Any suspicious activity or discrepancy will lead to immediate disqualification
Any suspicious activity like sharing answers or solving in groups of two or more will get you banned from the website and disqualified from the contest
At the time of giving prizes, we reserve the right to ask for your identification
Prizes and winners will be decided by ISMO 2021 Team and their decision shall be final and binding
