ISF Photography and Videography Competition

Participants are invited to capture the essence of “Science in Action” or “Meeting a scientist” through compelling photos and create engaging vlogs explaining any ISF event. The best photo and video entries will be awarded based on creativity, relevance, and impact.

How to participate?

  • Upload a photo or video on your public Twitter (now known as X), LinkedIn, Instagram, or YouTube account
  • Use hashtag #ISF2024
  • Tag the India Science Festival page
  • Submission deadline:
    • Day 1: 21 Jan 5 PM
    • Day 2: 22 Jan 6 PM

Photo Submission

  • The entries need to depict either of the themes “Science In Action” or “Meeting a Scientist”
  • Minor editing (to fix lighting) is allowed 
  • AI generated images or editing using AI is not allowed
  • Any profanity or obscenity will not be considered as part of the competition

Video Submission

  • The entries need to have either of the themes “Science In Action” or “Meeting a Scientist”
  • Duration of the video should not exceed more than 120 seconds (2 minutes)
  • Formats such as youtube video, reel and shorts are acceptable
  • Videos must be posted directly on the participant’s profile, not in stories

General Rules and Regulations

  • The competition is open to all individuals attending the India Science Festival (ISF) 2024
  • Submissions must be made via participants’ public Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter (now known as X), or YouTube profiles.
  • The competition is live for the two days of the ISF 2024 festival.
  • Submissions are accepted from 9AM, 20 January 2024 to 6 PM9 AM, 22 January 2024
  • Photos and videos must be original works created by the participant or team.
  • Humour is encouraged in vlog-style videos. Creative and entertaining presentations are appreciated.
  • Entries will be judged based on creativity, relevance to the theme, technical proficiency, and overall impact.
  • Any profanity or obscenity will not be considered as part of the competition.
